The Mobile Intelligent Terminal Ecosystem Alliance revealed that the Arm architecture CPU core has been mandatorily adopting 64-bit since 2023, and 32-bit instructions are gradually being phased out. In 2024, Google has restricted 32-bit applications on Android 15, meaning that new phones with Android 15 installed will not be able to install and use 32-bit applications starting in September 2024.

This organization stated that in order to better enhance the Android application compatibility experience and avoid the problem of applications not being able to be installed and used on new phones in the second half of 2024, please all developers must complete 64-bit adaptation by August 31, 2024.

The Gold Standard Alliance is an open and non-profit social organization voluntarily initiated and established by Chinese intelligent terminal manufacturers OPPO, vivo, Xiaomi, Ali, Baidu, and Tencent. In November 2022, Lenovo announced to join the Gold Standard Alliance. In April 2023, BBK announced to join the Gold Standard Alliance.
