Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Cracks Down on Apps Infringing on Users' Rights

According to TapTechNews on June 20, in accordance with laws and regulations such as the Personal Information Protection Law, the Cybersecurity Law, the Telecommunications Regulations, and the Provisions on the Protection of Personal Information of Telecommunications and Internet Users, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology continues to crack down on the illegal acts of Apps that infringe on users' rights and interests.

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized a random inspection by a third-party testing agency, and a total of 22 Apps and SDKs were found to have behaviors that infringe on users' rights and interests, and they are now notified. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that the above-mentioned Apps and SDKs should be rectified according to relevant regulations.
