China's Military Integrates Remote Border and Coastal Defense Points into National Logistics System

TapTechNews August 9th news, according to the report of the Liberation Army Daily, the relevant department head of the Transport and Delivery Bureau of the Central Military Commission's Logistic Support Department introduced a while ago that more than 150 remote border and coastal defense points in the whole army have opened postal routes and integrated into the national logistics system, allowing the soldiers guarding the border and coastal defense to enjoy the efficiency and convenience brought by modern logistics.

In recent years, the relevant departments of the Central Military Commission's Logistic Support Department have actively docked and coordinated with the State Post Bureau and China Post Group Co., Ltd., and included some remote border and coastal defense points with poor road conditions, weak social reliance, harsh natural conditions, and difficult postal access into the national logistics system to facilitate the work, training and daily life of the officers and soldiers.

The military and local sides jointly launched the postal service guarantee work for the stations of the border and coastal defense forces, involving multiple service contents such as letters, newspapers and periodicals, parcels, and express delivery. In addition, the postal department also tries to introduce drones, the Internet of Things, intelligent express lockers, etc. to improve the efficiency and quality of postal service; explores the opening of special mailboxes, providing delivery services in specific time periods, and tries to establish mobile post offices, etc. to meet the specific postal needs of the border and coastal defense officers and soldiers in a personalized manner.

It is understood that in the next step, the postal department will timely adjust the business hours and increase the delivery frequency according to the postal needs of the troops to improve the service quality level and continuously meet the postal needs of the officers and soldiers and enhance the sense of gain and happiness of the first-line officers and soldiers at the border and coastal defense.

TapTechNews reported on July 29th that the State Post Bureau, in conjunction with eight departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Commerce, the General Administration of Customs, the State Taxation Administration, the National Railway Administration, and the Civil Aviation Administration of China, issued the Guiding Opinions on the Layout and Construction of the National Postal Express Hub, which is to layout about 80 national postal express hubs across the country, including about 15 global international postal express hubs, about 20 regional international postal express hubs, and about 45 national postal express hubs, and each hub can layout and construct 1-3 national postal express hub functional areas according to local conditions, and the hub functional areas are carried by the corresponding cities.
