Apple's watchOS 11 Update New Features and SmartStack Enhancements

TapTechNews, June 13 - The watchOS 11 system update, which is about to be officially launched in autumn, will bring many new functions, one of which is the built-in Shazam music recognition component. Currently, although Apple Watch users can download the Shazam app through the App Store or use the Siri voice assistant for music recognition, it does not support the convenient SmartStack function.

The update of watchOS 11 will change this. Users can easily call out the Shazam component through the SmartStack by simply rotating the digital crown, eliminating the steps of downloading third-party applications or using the voice assistant.

Thanks to this update, the SmartStack function will become more intelligent. It can automatically display relevant information components according to factors such as time and location. At the same time, it will also support the Live Activities function, which is convenient for users to directly check the progress of sports events or upcoming car-hailing service information on the wrist.

TapTechNews noted that in addition to Shazam, this update has also added practical components such as severe weather warnings, translations, training loads (a new exercise function of watchOS 11), photos, and distances to the SmartStack. watchOS 11 is currently only for developers to test and is expected to be pushed to all users this autumn.
