China's Baotou-Yinchuan High-Speed Railway's Huinong-Yinchuan Section to Open on October 1st

The Huiyin section of the Baoyin high-speed railway is a part of the Beijing-Lanzhou passage of China's eight vertical and eight horizontal high-speed railway network, which is connected with the Yinchuan-Lanzhou high-speed railway and the Yinchuan-Xi'an high-speed railway, and has an important position in the railway network.

The Baoyin high-speed railway starts from Baotou Station, passes through Baotou City, Bayannur City, Ordos City, Wuhai City in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and Shizuishan City, Yinchuan City in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and connects to Yinchuan Station. The main line is about 517 miles (about 832 kilometers) long, and the designed speed is 250 kilometers per hour.

In the initial stage of opening for operation, the railway department operates a maximum of 20 high-speed rail trains daily, including 18 between Yinchuan and Huinong South Station, and 2 between Zhongwei South Station and Huinong South Station.

TapTechNews learned that the fastest travel time between Yinchuan and Huinong South Station and between Zhongwei South Station and Huinong South Station is 44 minutes and 2 hours and 29 minutes respectively, which is 29 minutes and 1 hour and 29 minutes shorter than the current regular passenger train running on the Baotou-Lanzhou railway.
