TapTechNews on June 6, a market analysis company CIRP released a latest research report, revealing the percentage of Apple users who subscribe to Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, and Pandora.

As shown in the figure, the CIRP report shows that about 40% of Apple iPhone, iPad and Mac users in the US prefer Apple Music more than other music streaming services.

If all models of users are considered, Spotify has always been the most popular music streaming service. A report in 2023 estimated that Spotify has 44 million paying users in the US, while Apple Music follows closely with 32 million users.

According to the introduction, CIRP data as of March 2024. In these 12 months, the adoption rate of Apple Music has risen from 34% in 2020 to 40% year by year, while the adoption rates of other audio streaming services are as follows:

Spotify: 29% (2024), higher than 24% (2020)

Amazon Music: 10% (2024), lower than 16% (2020)

Pandora: 8% (2024), lower than 12% (2020)

Apple Music was launched in 2015 and is the successor of iTunes Music. The initial subscription price was $9.99 per month (TapTechNews note: about 72 Chinese yuan currently), and the current individual version has increased to $10.99 (about 80 Chinese yuan currently).
