Wuling Yangguang New Energy Passenger Vehicle Launched in US

TapTechNews May 25th news, the Wuling Yangguang new energy commercial vehicle was launched in March this year, featuring the Red No.1 battery for the first time, with a starting price of $10,200. Now, the 6-seat passenger version of the Wuling Yangguang has also come on the market, starting from $10,500.

The declaration map of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that the passenger version of the Wuling Yangguang continues the overall design of the current model, adopting the common closed front face of new energy vehicles and matching with the red Wuling logo. The new car has a length, width and height of 1636/59/77.6 inches (approximate conversion), and the wheelbase is 120 inches, which is the same as the current model.

TapTechNews learned that the car adopts a 6-seat layout, and the car has three rows of seats, and the second and third rows of seats support folding. For reference, the current model is equipped with an 8-inch suspended central control entertainment screen, supporting functions such as multimedia/music. In addition, the vehicle will also be equipped with 15-inch steel wheel rims, the rear is a split door design, and the side is a sliding door design.

In terms of power, the car is equipped with a single motor with a maximum power of 80 hp, and the maximum speed is 62 mph. The car provides two types of lithium iron phosphate battery packs of 31.9 kWh and 41.9 kWh, and the corresponding CLTC pure electric cruising range is 142 miles and 186 miles respectively, and the prices are $10,500 and $11,600 respectively.
