AMD Ryzen 9 9950X Processor Benchmark Leak and Performance Details

TapTechNews June 26th. A post by igor_kavinski on the Anandtech forum on Monday shared the AIDA64 benchmark score of AMD's flagship Ryzen 9 9950X processor. Compared with the current Ryzen 9 7950X processor based on Zen4, the performance has increased by up to 45%.

A user claims to have obtained an early engineering sample of AMD Ryzen 9 9950X CPU, tested on AM5 motherboard with DDR5-8000 memory and working timing of CL34-45-40-42.

According to the information shown in the AIDA64 benchmark score, the Ryzen 9 9950X '100-000001277' processor is equipped with 2 Zen5 CCDs and 1 IOD, and has 16 cores and 32 threads. TapTechNews attached the picture as follows:

The base clock frequency of this processor is 4.3 GHz, and the boost clock frequency can reach 5.7 GHz. Although the boost clock frequency is the same as that of Ryzen 9 7950X, the base clock frequency has been slightly reduced by 200 MHz.

This processor is equipped with 80 MB of cache (64 MB of L3 cache and 16 MB of L2 cache), and the TDP is 170 watts.

In terms of performance, AMD Ryzen 9 9950X CPU has carried out three tests in AIDA64, including AES, FP32 and FP64 workloads.

The benchmark test already includes the performance data of Ryzen 9 9950X and Core i9-13900K, so it is easy to show the overall improvement of the CPU in these three workloads, and they are all quite excellent.

Another benchmark test conducted on this chip is LinX, using the adjusted DDR5 memory (6400 MT/s/26-36-32-30), and the chip achieved a result of 1657 GFLOPs. These are early performance data based on engineering samples, so the final chip may provide better results under the same workloads.
