Chinese Electric Vehicle Manufacturer Zhiji Unveils New LS6 Model

TapTechNews May 14th news, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has released the application images of the new Zhiji LS6, and the new model has been optimized in appearance design. Last night, Zhiji Automobile Co-CEO Liu Tao revealed that Zhiji's future iteration speed will pay tribute to 3C products, with a cycle of 12-18 months, and the revamped LS6 and LS7 will be launched in the second half of this year.

TapTechNews noted that the new car mainly adjusts the front bumper, removes the black decorative strip, and adds fog lights, making it look more concise, while the side and rear of the car remain unchanged. The dimensions of the new Zhiji L6 are 4910/1988/1669 mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2960 mm. Compared to the current models, the length has increased by 6 mm and the wheelbase by 10 mm.

In terms of power, new single-motor models have been added, with maximum power options for single-motor versions at 216 kW, 248kW, 250 kW, and 300 kW; the dual-motor version has front and rear motor maximum powers of 200 kW and 379 kW respectively, with a total motor power of 579 kW. The car is equipped with three specifications of battery packs: 71 kWh, 90 kWh, and 100 kWh, with CLTC condition range of 560 km, 680 km, 760 km, and 702 km (four-wheel drive). It is worth noting that the entry-level model uses lithium iron phosphate batteries from Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL), while other models, same as the current models, use ternary lithium batteries from SAIC Motor or Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL).

For reference, the current Zhiji LS6 is priced between 229,900-291,900 RMB (approximately 35,500-45,000 USD).
