FiiO Introduces New Portable CD Player DM13 with HiFi Features

TapTechNews August 24th news, FiiO held a press conference today and launched the new portable CD player DM13, offering three versions and four colors including silver, black, red, and white. The silver version is expected to go on the market in late September, and the rest of the models in October.

Standard version: $130.

Bluetooth version: $145.

According to the introduction, DM13 adopts two CirrusLogic's flagship DAC chips CS43198, combined with two low-noise and high-power HiFi headphone amplifiers SGM8262, and supports aptX/aptXLowLatency/aptXHD/SBC high-definition Bluetooth transmission, which can ensure HiFi-level sound quality performance whether in stereo output or balanced output.

DM13 adopts a flip-top design, uses aluminum alloy CNC fine processing, has dimensions of 144*137*27mm, weighs about 1 pound, and has an ESP electronic shock-proof switch on the back, supporting single-ended stereo output, and the power of balanced output can reach 600mW+600mW.

In addition, this CD player also customizes a high-contrast, long-life LCD display, which can clearly display information such as volume, track sequence number, and song playing duration at the same time.

In other aspects, DM13 adopts a dual power supply mode (3750mAh battery + USB power supply), with a battery life of more than 9 hours. It has a newly added CD ripping function (TapTechNews note: in WAV format, bitrate 1411kbps), supports seamless playback, and also supports adding favorites and loop playback functions. The interfaces are as follows:

On the front panel, 3.5mm stereo and 4.4mm balanced interfaces can be output simultaneously;

On the back panel, 3.5mm stereo and 4.4mm balanced interface line output, as well as a three-in-one output interface of optical fiber and coaxial, which can be used to connect analog amplifiers and speakers, etc.;

DM13 also has 2 USB ports for charging and ripping, etc.
