Tesla CEO Confirms No Model Y Facelift This Year

TapTechNews June 9th, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, confirmed in an interaction with netizens today that Tesla will not launch a facelift version of Model Y this year.

Later, Musk posted the same content on Weibo, ruling out the possibility of the new Model Y renewal model with the code name Juniper being launched within this year.

Elon Musk also pointed out that Tesla continuously upgrades existing vehicles through methods such as OTA, and Tesla vehicles will have significant improvements in many aspects every six months.

TapTechNews note: After Tesla launched the Model 3 renewal version with the code name Highland last year, it also launched a minor facelift version of Model Y, with the addition of multi-color ambient lights, a new dashboard trim panel made of technical textile materials, and 19-inch Gemini wheels, but the upgrade scope is less than that of the renewal version.
