On August 6th, TapTechNews reported that Maserati has released two brand-new One-Off custom models - the Quattroporte GrandFinale and the MC20 Iris. Among them, the Quattroporte GrandFinale is not only the swan song of the Maserati Quattroporte but also the last Maserati model to be equipped with a V8 engine. While the MC20 Iris adopts a special rainbow-themed livery, and both cars have been delivered to an entrepreneur in the field of biomedical in the US.

The two new cars come from Maserati's Fuoriserie private custom project. The Quattroporte GrandFinale adopts the noble blue (BluNobile) car color, is equipped with a carbon fiber body kit and brushed aluminum brake calipers, and the engine compartment cover is also stamped with the signatures of the Fuoriserie team and project engineers.

The interior of the Quattroporte GrandFinale has also been carefully customized, including a steering wheel with the texture of shadow wood, brown door panels, black leather-wrapped A-pillars, headrests with the black-stitched Trident logo, a leather-lined luggage compartment, and a wood-grain texture passenger door handle. The vehicle's center console and welcome pedals are both marked with the GrandFinale badge.

The Quattroporte GrandFinale is equipped with a 3.8T twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a maximum output power of 572 horsepower. To commemorate this last V8-powered model, Maserati has printed the vehicle's identification number: 999999 on the windshield and the inner side of the driver's door.

The Maserati MC20 Iris adopts a rainbow-themed livery selected by th e customer. The car color is named AI Aqua Rainbow, and there are white stripes on the front and waistline. The guided price range of the MC20 sold in China is 2.5388 million to 3.0488 million yuan, and the price of the custom version is expected to be higher.

In the cockpit of the MC20 Iris, the steering wheel and the central armrest are both made of ice-colored leather with AI Aqua Rainbow stitching. The + and - symbols on the steering wheel paddle shifters also adopt a special color scheme, and the words MC20 IRIS are inlaid on the welcome pedal with laser cutting.

Although the official did not explain the power configuration, it is expected that the MC20 Iris will continue to be equipped with the Nettuno Neptune V6 engine with a maximum power of 630 horsepower and a maximum torque of 730 pound-feet, matched with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, using rear-wheel drive, and the top speed exceeds 200 mph.

On May 11th, 2023, Maserati once announced that the 3.8T twin-turbocharged V8 engine used in its Trofeo high-performance series will be discontinued at the end of 2023, and the models equipped with the V8 engine will continue to be sold until 2024. The delivery of the Quattroporte GrandFinale marks the end of the Maserati V8 power era. It is reported that the electric successor of the Maserati Quattroporte and Levante is being developed, and the former will be postponed to be released in 2028.
