Currently, Google Chromebooks mainly challenge Windows laptops in the education market, but it is still difficult to shake Microsoft's dominant position in the commercial field.

TapTechNews briefly introduces the background of Cameyo. The company was established in 2010 and is headquartered in Cary, North Carolina, USA. The company mainly created a virtual application delivery (VAD) service, which can stream Windows applications and applications of other operating systems on any device.

Google established a partnership with Cameyo in August 2023 and integrated the VAD service into the ChromeOS system, allowing Chromebook users to run Windows applications.

Once Google digests and absorbs the results of this company, in the enterprise environment, it can run Windows applications on Chromebooks without actually running the Windows operating system.
