New BYD SUV with Plug-in Hybrid Debuts 'Song' with Striking Design

This car adopts a plug-in hybrid system, which is expected to be the latest fifth-generation DM technology.

The new car has a length, width and height of 156.69/74.72/65.75 inches respectively, and a wheelbase of 109.65 inches, and the total mass is 5236.36 pounds. Judging from the optional photos, this car can also be optionally equipped with the Song L logo, and the appearance characteristics are consistent with the Song L DM-i预热 by BYD officials earlier.
In terms of power, this car is equipped with an engine with a displacement of 91.3 cubic inches, and the maximum power is 74 kW; the peak power of the permanent magnet synchronous motor is 160 kW.
For comparison, the pure electric version of Song L has a length, width and height of 189.76/76.77/61.42 inches, and its wheelbase is 115.16 inches. It can be seen that the size of the Song L DM-i is slightly smaller than that of the same-name pure electric vehicle.
The Song L DM-i inherits the design language of the Dynasty Network family. Its front face design is similar to that of the Qin L DM-i, with a large-sized hexagonal grille and headlamps connected by black trim strips. The front bumper is decorated with silver trim strips. The body lines of the car are smooth with a coupe style, and it is equipped with hidden door handles and rear privacy glass, and the wheel rims adopt a brand-new semi-closed design. The rear part of the car is similar to that of the Song L, and it is equipped with through-type taillights and two-section rear spoilers.
