Acer's 2024 Q2 and H1 Financial Results Revenue and Profit Growth

TapTechNews August 8th news, Acer's board of directors held a board meeting today and passed the financial report for the second quarter of 2024, announcing the financial situation for the second quarter and the first half of 2024.

Second Quarter of 2024

Consolidated revenue was 67.138 billion New Taiwan dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 14.752 billion Chinese yuan), an increase of 15.2% year-on-year;

Operating profit was 1.468 billion New Taiwan dollars (currently about 323 million Chinese yuan), an increase of 40.3% year-on-year and 87.9% quarter-on-quarter, with an operating profit margin of 2.2%;

Net profit after tax was 1.404 billion New Taiwan dollars (currently about 308 million Chinese yuan), and the diluted earnings per share for a single quarter was 0.47 New Taiwan dollars;

In the second quarter, thenon-computer and display businessaccounted for 28.1% of the overall revenue and contributed 35.2% of the operating profit.

First Half of 2024

Consolidated revenue was 125.970 billion New Taiwan dollars (currently about 27.678 billion Chinese yuan), an increase of 13.8% year-on-year;

Gross profit was 13.371 billion New Taiwan dollars (currently about 29.38 billion Chinese yuan), an increase of 15.1% year-on-year, and the gross profit margin was 10.6%;

Operating profit was 2.249 billion New Taiwan dollars (currently about 4.94 billion Chinese yuan), an increase of 75.1% year-on-year;

Net profit after tax was 2.606 billion New Taiwan dollars (currently about 5.73 billion Chinese yuan), an increase of 36.6% year-on-year, and the cumulative diluted earnings per share was 0.87 New Taiwan dollars.
