Tech media phoronix released a blog post today, stating that a new GFX1152 version was found in the AMD GPU LVM shader compiler.

TapTechNews note: GFX1150 corresponds to AMD's StrixPoint, while GFX1151 corresponds to StrixPoint Halo, and the currently exposed GFX1152 is not yet clear what product it corresponds to.

The enabling patch of AMD's AMD GPU shader compiler indicates that GFX1152 is still used for APUs, rather than an update to a discrete GPU graphics card.

From the perspective of the compiler backend, GFX1152 is exactly the same as GFX1150 (GFX1151 is slightly different, setting Feature1_5xVGPRs to get more VGPR registers), but various new checks have been added in the conditional statements.

AMD plans to release the Ryzen AI300 series in July this year, and the RDNA3.5 graphics technology will also make its debut. Support for GFX1150/GFX1151 in the open-source AMD Linux driver stack has been available for several months, but GFX1152 has only now emerged, likely for future products or maybe some semi-custom chip solutions.
