'Juno' Application Removed from Apple VisionPro App Store

TapTechNews on October 2nd, according to a blog post released by the tech media MacRumors yesterday (October 1st), it is reported that the application named 'Juno' has been removed from the Apple VisionPro app store, and the developer does not认可 the removal but decides not to appeal.

TapTechNews has reported that the developer Christian Selig launched a non-official YouTube for VisionPro application in February this year: it's called Juno and costs $4.99 (one-time purchase).

YouTube notified Selig in April this year, stating that the Juno application modified the user interface of YouTube.com and used trademarks and icons that may cause confusion, violating YouTube's terms of service and API.

Selig tried to solve the problem by switching to the website player and stating that Juno is a non-official YouTube viewer, but YouTube still filed a complaint with the App Store.

Juno was eventually removed by Apple, and Selig disagreed with this decision, believing that Juno is just a simple web view that modified the CSS to make the player look more 'like visionOS', but he does not intend to file an appeal.

The price of Juno for YouTube is $4.99 (TapTechNews note: currently about 35 Chinese yuan), and Selig said that customers who have already purchased the application should still be able to use it even if the application has been removed from the App Store.
