Some M1 iMac Users Report Horizontal Lines on Screen

TapTechNews October 2nd, a blog post was published by the tech media MacRumors yesterday (October 1st). In Apple's official support community, the media's forum, Reddit, and iFixitAnswer community, some M1 iMac users reported horizontal lines appearing on the screen.

According to iMac users' feedback, even if the iMac is restarted, these lines still appear on the screen, and when the horizontal lines appear, the upper right corner of the iMac will become very hot.

MacRumors said that currently no other solutions have been found, and it is not clear the total number of affected users or the root cause of the problem.

The media reported that many affected users said that these lines began to appear on the screen about 18 to 24 months after they purchased the iMac.

Therefore, affected iMac users are usually not within the warranty period (1 year) when the problem occurs without purchasing the extended AppleCare+ service.
