Alibaba.com Launches AlibabaGuaranteed Service for Overseas Companies

TapTechNews June 7th news, the Alibaba B2B platform, Alibaba.com, announced on Thursday that it will launch the Alibaba Guaranteed (AlibabaGuaranteed) service to companies outside of China, providing greater certainty for delivery, payment, and dispute resolution.

‎Alibaba.com has the same positioning as the domestic 1688.com. It is a platform mainly focusing on business-to-business sales and is a major channel for Chinese suppliers to sell products to small overseas enterprises. Products can be sold directly to overseas consumers through websites such as AliExpress, and the platform supports both purchasing a single product and bulk purchasing.

At present, consumers in China have always enjoyed real-time tracking of logistics delivery and the three-package policy for returns and exchanges, but consumers who buy from cross-border e-commerce platforms have not enjoyed relevant policies. The launch of the transaction guarantee service by Alibaba.com is to solve this problem and provides consumers with delivery date tracking and free local return guarantee.

It is understood that Zhang Kuo, the president of Alibaba.com, said in an interview with CNBC that in the past five years, the number of buyers on Alibaba.com has increased by at least twice, and the total value of online goods is about 50 billion US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 362.454 billion RMB). Alibaba.com cooperates with many EU suppliers who sell within the EU, and the company is also helping to accelerate digitization in the region by using more business technologies.

In the face of the rapidly growing demand overseas, Alibaba launched the transaction guarantee service, reducing some of the uncertainties in the transaction process, expressing its strong will to expand overseas.
