German TV Manufacturer Loewe Launches Stellar Smart TV with LGDisplay's MLAOLED Panel and Samsung's Tizen System

TapTechNews May 14th news, German TV manufacturer Loewe recently launched the Stellar smart TV, which uses LGDisplay's MLAOLED panel and Samsung's Tizen system.

However, this is not the first TV to use this combination of hardware and software. Samsung's own S85D TV also uses an LG OLED panel and Tizen operating system.

The Stellar smart TV uses LGDisplay's WRGBOLED panel and MicroLens Array 2.0 (MLA2.0), available in several models including 42 inches, 48 inches, 55 inches, 65 inches, 77 inches, and 83 inches, with plans to launch a 97-inch version in mid-2024.

Loewe has collaborated closely with LG to customize the backplane technology, display drivers, and power systems of the display panel, bringing a superior viewing experience.

The TV is mounted on a metal stand with an X-shaped base. It has four HDMI 2.1 ports, each supporting 4K 144Hz, a dual tuner with recording capability, and a 1TB SSD.

This TV runs on LoeweOS9 system based on TizenOS, currently not supporting Dolby Vision, but reports suggest that Loewe will bring support through firmware updates in the future.
