Zhengzhou Launches Unlimited Free Subway & Bus Rides for Students during Summer

TapTechNews July 4th news, according to the official public account of Zhengzhou Release, from July 2nd, Zhengzhou City will carry out an activity of unlimited free subway and bus rides for college students during the summer vacation.

In order to better meet the travel needs of college students during the summer vacation, the Zhengzhou Municipal Party Committee Talent Office, the Municipal Subway Group, and the Municipal Bus Group announced that from July 2nd, 2024 to August 31st, students nationwide who are currently enrolled in junior college or above can apply for the right to a free ride voucher by presenting their valid student identification in a combination of online + offline way. After approval, they can take the subway and bus for free with unlimited rides.

Free subway ride:

Online application

Online, students can complete the student certification in the Shangyixing (Zhengzhou subway ride App) or the Shangyixing mini-program of Alipay. After certification, they obtain the right to a free electronic ride voucher (Shangyixing-certified users can only take the subway for free by face recognition, and Alipay-certified users can ride for free by scanning the code).

Offline application

Offline, they can collect a free ticket at any subway station in the Zhengzhou subway network by presenting the relevant information of their valid student identification.

Free bus ride:

To apply for free bus ride, students need to complete the student certification in the Zhengzhou Bus mini-program of Alipay. After certification, they obtain the right to a free electronic ride voucher.
