New Energy Vehicle Feifan RC7 Battery and Cruising Range Details Revealed
TapTechNews June 3rd news, on May 31st, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of new energy vehicle models (the sixth batch) with reduced vehicle purchase tax, and the battery and cruising range information of the new model Feifan RC7 under SAIC Feifan Automobile was announced. The Feifan RC7 is positioned as a medium-large SUV, and its design language comes from the Feifan RCESSENCE concept car.
According to the information disclosed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Feifan RC7 will offer three different capacity battery options, namely 62.2 kWh, 77 kWh and 90 kWh. Depending on the battery capacity, configured model and power version, the cruising ranges are 300 miles (about 480 kilometers), 313 miles (about 503 kilometers), 363 miles (about 583 kilometers), 375 miles (about 603 kilometers), 427 miles (about 687 kilometers), and 435 miles (about 710 kilometers) respectively.
TapTechNews noticed that the exterior design of the Feifan RC7 retains certain elements of the Feifan RCESSENCE concept car, such as the unique headlight group design. Although it does not adopt a through-type design, the upturned 'corner' shape of the headlight group is similar to that of the concept car.
In terms of configuration, the Feifan RC7 will provide diversified optional configurations according to different models, including luggage racks, rear privacy glass, privacy rear windshield glass, lidar and streaming media interior rearview mirror, etc. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the Feifan RC7 are 159.4 inches (about 4860 millimeters), 75.6 inches (about 1920 millimeters), and 65 inches (about 1660 millimeters) respectively, and the wheelbase is 115.7 inches (about 2935 millimeters). Compared with the current Feifan R7, the length, width and wheelbase are slightly reduced, but the height is slightly increased.
In terms of interior, spy photos show that the center console of the Feifan RC7 adopts a brand new design style, equipped with a full LCD instrument panel and a dual-screen design, and there is also a storage slot with the function of wireless mobile phone charging under the central control screen.
In terms of the power system, the Feifan RC7 is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor produced by Xiamen Shituo Yuneng Technology Co., Ltd., with a maximum power of 150 kilowatts, and the power battery is a ternary lithium battery. In addition, the Feifan RC7 will also launch a battery swap version to provide more choices for consumers.
