Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-Speed Railway Enters Commissioning Stage

TapTechNews May 18th news, the China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd. announced that the Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-Speed Railway officially entered the stage of joint commissioning and testing today, and it is expected to meet the conditions for opening to traffic by the end of August.

According to the official information queried by TapTechNews, the Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-Speed Railway starts from the Tonglu East Station in Hangzhou, Zhejiang in the north, passes through Jinhua City and Taizhou City in the south, and arrives at Wenzhou City, and is introduced into the renovated Wenzhou South Station. The total length of the line is 260 kilometers (about 161.56 miles), the designed speed is 350 kilometers per hour (about 217.48 miles per hour), and there are 9 stations along the line, including Tonglu East, Pujiang, Yiwu, Hengdian, Pan'an, Xianju, Nanxi River, Wenzhou North, and Wenzhou South.

The official said that as a dual demonstration high-speed railway project of the State Council's mixed ownership reform pilot and the National Development and Reform Commission's social capital investment demonstration, the Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-Speed Railway is an important part of the Yangtze River Delta intercity railway network.

After the opening of the line, passengers can take the high-speed rail directly from Hangzhou West Station to places along the line such as Yiwu, Hengdian, and Wenzhou. The travel time from Hangzhou to Wenzhou will be shortened to about one hour.
