TapTechNews August 27th news, the source @i_IceUniverse tweeted today, revealing that MediaTek is brewing the Dimensity 9400 killer, and the ray tracing picture quality reaches a new level.
The source reveals that the Dimensity 9400 chip is expected to be released in October, and there are mainly two improvements in ray tracing:
The ray tracing performance has increased by nearly 20% compared to the previous generation.
For the first release of a new ray tracing technology for the mobile terminal, comparable to the top ray tracing technology OMM (ray tracing accelerator) on the PC, it can make the ray tracing picture quality a notch higher.
Another well-known digital blogger @DigitalChatStation mentioned that in actual tests, the GPU performance of the Dimensity 9400 chip in the 3DMark test item exceeded that of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 mobile platform by about 30%. When achieving the same test score, the power consumption of the Dimensity 9400 is about 40% lower than that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen3.
TapTechNews previously reported that the Dimensity 9400 will adopt the advanced TSMC 3nm process, continue the excellent reputation of the all-big-core CPU architecture, and adopt Arm's latest v9 Black Hawk architecture. The IPC (the stronger the CPU performance at the same frequency) is higher than that of A17Pro and Nuvia.
