The Skytop concept car combines classic design elements with modern style and is built based on the 8 Series coupe. It may indicate the arrival of BMW's new convertible model. In terms of appearance, the new car has a long front end, a shark-nose front bumper, a wide twin-kidney grille, two engine cover vents, and a unique split-window boat-tail rear end. Various details suggest that it will be equipped with a fuel engine, and the rear twin oval exhaust pipes further confirm this. The interior adopts a dark red tone with luxurious finishes and a detachable Targa-style double roof design.

TapTechNews noticed that the Skytop concept car is equipped with regular side mirrors, rearview mirrors, and a front bumper tow hook cover, which is not common in concept cars but is closer to the design of a production vehicle. The industry speculates that this may mean that BMW's future production models will follow the design language of Skytop.

The Skytop concept car will be officially unveiled at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este古董车展 from May 24th to 26th, and at that time, it will be exhibited along with the BMW M Hybrid art car and the brand's historical classic models.
