Hong Kong Stock Exchange to Implement Severe Weather Trading from 2024

TapTechNews September 16th news, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange announced today that it has obtained regulatory approval to implement trading in severe weather, which will take effect from September 23, 2024.

In terms of operational arrangements, securities trading conducted at or through the exchange (including the northbound and southbound trading of the Shanghai-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect) will continue to maintain trading in severe weather conditions, similar to that of regular trading days. All exchange participants need to continue to provide trading-related services in severe weather. To ensure safety, The exchange strongly recommends using the remote work mode and online services on severe weather trading days, and also reminds exchange participants that they should check according to the checklist in the severe weather trading - readiness declaration form to ensure that they are ready for the operation and system of severe weather trading.
