2024 League of Legends LPL Summer Season to Kick Off on June 1st
TapTechNews May 28th news, the 2024 LPL Summer Season of League of Legends will officially kick off on June 1st and introduce a brand new tournament system, including 4 stages with 3 event stages. The 17 teams are divided into four groups, and the set-group stage adopts the No Fear Draft (Global BP) mode. TapTechNews attached the grouping situation as follows:
Group A: JDG, FPX, TT, EDG
Group B: BLG, WE, LGD, RNG
Group C: TES, LNG, OMG, RA
Group D: NIP, WBG, AL, IG, UP
The regular season of the 2024 LPL Summer Season will be held from June 1st to June 29th. The set-group stage adopts the No Fear Draft mode. The four groups determine the intra-group ranking through a double-round BO3, and the bottom two teams in each group enter the Nirvana Group, while the remaining top-ranked teams enter the Summit Group.

Set-Group Stage
In this stage, the No Fear Draft (Global BP) mode is adopted. After the four groups A, B, C, and D determine the intra-group ranking through a double-round BO3, the bottom two teams in each group enter the Group B, while the remaining 9 top-ranked teams enter the Group A.
No Fear Draft mode: The heroes that the own team has used in the completed games in the same BO3 cannot be selected again.
Intra-Group Stage
In this stage, the Competitive Draft mode is adopted. After completing the intra-group single-round BO3 in the Group A and Group B respectively, the bottom 4 teams in the Group B will directly prepare for the 2025 season, and the top 7 teams in the Group A will lock in the playoff spots, and the top two will even directly have the revival armor.
And the 6 teams in the middle-ranked (the bottom 2 teams in the Group A and the top 4 teams in the Group B) will enter the next stage of the scramble stage.
Scramble Stage
In this stage, the Competitive Draft mode is adopted. In the BO5 single-elimination format, the 6 teams will face each other one-on-one in a life-and-death situation to compete for the last 3 playoff tickets.
Finally, the top 10 teams that are determined will make the final push for the LPL League Championship trophy, the Silver Dragon Cup, in the playoffs.
