Nintendo to Announce Remastered Versions of Two Classic Games

TapTechNews May 28th, sources PHBrazil revealed today that Nintendo will announce high-definition remastered versions of two classic games before the next fiscal year (April 1, 2025), one of which is from the NGC platform and the other is from a work on the 3DS.

Nintendo announced the acquisition of Shiver Entertainment a while ago. Considering that the studio was once in charge of porting games such as Hogwarts Legacy, PHBrazil speculates that these two remastered games may be handled by them.

The source also believes that Nintendo will still consider the current-generation Switch console as a key focus for a considerable period of time (even after the release of the Switch2 console), because 'the huge user base needs a transition period', so the above two remastered games will also land on the current-generation Switch platform and will not be exclusive games as 'next-generation'.

Referencing TapTechNews' previous reports, Nintendo will hold a new round of Direct in June, which will introduce the Switch game lineup for the second half of this year, but the Switch2 console will not be announced in this Direct, and the 'high-definition remastered' versions of the above two classic games are also not expected to be revealed in this event.
