TapTechNews August 5th news, on the evening of August 2nd Beijing time, FigureAI, supported by companies such as OpenAI, released the trailer of its new-generation humanoid robot Figure02 and announced that it will be officially released on August 6th (tomorrow).

The focus of the trailer is on the hardware of this robot. It shows the joint and limb details of Figure02, and the finger movement is quite flexible, with a joint range of motion up to 195° and a torque rating as high as 150 N・m. Brett Adcock, the founder of FigureAI, even claimed that Figure02 will be the most advanced humanoid robot on the earth.

The company had previously demonstrated the skills and parameters of Figure01 in March this year. According to TapTechNews' previous report, Figure01 is 167.64 centimeters (5 feet 6 inches) tall and weighs 59.8 kilograms (132 pounds), and can carry a maximum weight of 20 kilograms (44 pounds), with a moving speed of 1.2 meters per second (about 2.7 miles per hour).

The biggest highlight of Figure01 is that it can have a normal and complete conversation with humans by utilizing the large language model of OpenAI. Since the OpenAI model also supports multi-modal input, it can provide advanced visual and language intelligence for Figure01. The Figure neural network can provide fast, low-level, and dexterous robotic motions.

The video shows that Figure01 can understand the content in the scene and respond to the user's voice (voice-to-voice reasoning). Comparing the two videos, Figure02 is expected to focus on promoting around the hardware or movement ability.
