NetEase Cloud Music announces copyright cooperation with Kakao Entertainment

On May 13, NetEase Cloud Music announced a copyright cooperation with Kakao Entertainment from South Korea, and the works of artists under Kakao Entertainment will be available on NetEase Cloud Music. NetEase Cloud Music will provide users with a library of Korean pop songs, including works by artists such as IU, FTISLAND, N.Flying, THEBOYZ, and Jannabi, supporting limited free listening. According to public information, Kakao Entertainment is a comprehensive entertainment company integrating entertainment, mass media, and publishing. The company was established in 2021 through the merger of KakaoPage and Kakaom. Prior to this, NetEase Cloud Music had reached copyright cooperation agreements with famous South Korean music companies such as SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, CUBE Entertainment, and JYP Entertainment. Since 2020, NetEase Cloud Music has cooperated with globally renowned music companies such as Universal Music, Sony Music, Warner Chappell, Rolling Stones Records, Modern Sky, and Emperor Entertainment.
