vivo OriginOS and QQ Music Join Hands for Deeper Cooperation in Audio Technology

TapTechNews August 11th news, vivo OriginOS collaborates with QQ Music and establishes the vivo OriginOS & QQ Music Joint Laboratory.

The two sides will further deepen the cooperation in the field of audio technology and conduct more explorations in terms of power consumption, performance, sound quality and effect, and AI large model.

TapTechNews learned that at the user experience level, the offload output mode jointly launched by the two sides, by transplanting song decoding and sound effect processing to the ADSP module, reduces the utilization rate of the CPU, thereby achieving power consumption optimization, bringing users at the mobile phone end a nearly 9-hour increase in battery life at most, and the power consumption of master tape song playback is reduced by 6%, and the power consumption of SQ lossless music playback is reduced by 11%.

On the basis of last year's cooperation, the two sides plan to conduct more explorations in the aspect of AI large model. Yang Jinning, general manager of vivo's software platform department, said: vivo OriginOS, as a system platform, will continuously explore the underlying resources of the operating system, integrate hardware and system capabilities and open them to partners to provide support for application experience.
