TapTechNews learned from the live record on the official website of the Information Office of the State Council that for the subsequent development of the domestic service industry, Wang Dongtang, director of the Service Trade and Trade Services Department of the Ministry of Commerce, said that in the next step, the Ministry of Commerce will base on its functions and work with relevant departments to promote the development of domestic service consumption in three aspects: expanding service supply, improving service quality, and optimizing the service environment.

First, in view of the increasing demand for domestic services, the Ministry of Commerce will promote the expansion of domestic service supply, further advance the action of invigorating domestic services in rural areas, and encourage more rural transferred employment population to engage in domestic services, especially enabling rural transferred labor force to come out, stay, and do well. At the same time, the Ministry of Commerce is also actively working with relevant departments to deepen the action of domestic service labor docking. This year, it will also carry out the recruitment season activities for life services and organize relevant domestic enterprises to conduct live recruitment with positions to help domestic enterprises recommend domestic service positions more accurately and improve the recruitment efficiency, thereby enhancing the overall supply capacity of domestic services.

Second, in view of the increasingly high expectations for domestic service quality in society, the Ministry of Commerce will also work with relevant departments to continuously carry out the skills upgrading action for domestic service workers and provide free online training for domestic service workers, thereby improving the vocational skills and domestic service quality of domestic service practitioners. The Ministry of Commerce will also work with relevant departments to increase efforts to further improve the standard system of domestic services and promote the formulation of several national standards for high-quality development in the field of domestic services. This year, the Ministry of Commerce is guiding relevant institutions to formulate two national standards, one is the Specification for Home Care Services for Infants and Toddlers Aged 0-3, and the other is the Specification for Maternal and Infant Nursing Service Quality. In the next step, the Ministry of Commerce will guide domestic service industry organizations and enterprises to promote the formulation of a number of group standards and enterprise standards to continuously improve the standardization level of domestic services.

Then, in terms of the issue of domestic service assured consumption that the masses are concerned about, in the next step, the Ministry of Commerce will also accelerate the construction of the domestic service credit system, guide more domestic service workers and consumers to use the Domestic Service Credit Check mini-program, strengthen the application of credit information, rely on the Domestic Service Credit Check platform to promote the electronic home-based on-site service certificate, facilitate consumers to inspect visually and consume more assuredly. The Ministry of Commerce will also guide relevant industry associations to issue the Domestic Service Convention, advocate regulating the behaviors of consumers, domestic service workers, and domestic enterprises, and create a good consumption environment for domestic services.
