IDC China's Wearable Device Market in Q1 2024 Grows Rapidly

The data shows that the shipments of China's wearable device market in the first quarter of 2024 were 33.67 million units, with a year-on-year increase of 36.2%. Bracelet market shipments in the first quarter of 2024 were 3.7 million units, with a year-on-year increase of 29.6%. The new product iteration of the leading manufacturers has significantly driven the growth of shipments.

In-ear device market shipments in the first quarter of 2024 were 20.75 million units, with a year-on-year increase of 30.6%.

True wireless earphones shipments were 17.04 million, with a year-on-year increase of 37.2%.

Meanwhile, the global wearable device shipments in the first quarter of 2024 were 110 million units, with a year-on-year increase of 8.8%. IDC said that the growth rate in the Chinese market this quarter is four times that of the global market.

IDC expects that this year's adult smart watch market will grow by 19% under the relatively healthy inventory base, driven by the diverse forms of new products and personalized appearance designs. The bracelet market still has a 4% growth due to the entry-level price and extensive market depth.
