Nezha Automobile Starts Local Production in Indonesia

The PTHandal Indonesia Motor (HIM) in Bekasi, West Java, has carried out the initial assembly of Nezha Automobile's latest model NETA V-II.
The co-president of Nezha Automobile in Indonesia, Kong Fanlong, said:
The factory officially started the initial mass production of NETA V-II in the form of CKD. We thank the Indonesian government, PTHandal Indonesia Motor, as well as our partners and colleagues for their strong support in providing us with advanced and high-quality electric vehicles in Indonesia. This is an important moment for Nezha Automobile to successfully enter the Indonesian market. We believe that the mass production of Nezha Automobile in Indonesia will not only strengthen our position in the Indonesian market, but also greatly promote the development of the Indonesian automotive industry.
Kong Fanlong also revealed that after the start of local production, it is hoped that the Indonesian Nezha factory can meet the long-term demand for smart electric vehicles in the market and further become a production base for Nezha Automobile to support the export of Nezha Automobile from Indonesia to other countries.
Nezha Automobile's Indonesian factory has recently officially started local production in the form of CKD (Complete Knock-Down). TapTechNews note: There are three forms of KD, which are CKD (Complete Knock-Down), SKD (Semi Knock-Down), and DKD (Complete Built-Up). KD parts refer to importing all bulk parts from abroad and then assembling and producing them domestically.
In January this year, Nezha Automobile and its Malaysian partner completed the foundation laying ceremony of Nezha Automobile's third overseas factory in the Rembau Chembong industrial area of Negeri Sembilan. It is introduced that the factory is planned to officially start production in 2025, which will strengthen Nezha Automobile's leading position in the local market.
According to the introduction, in 2023, Nezha Automobile's overseas sales exceeded 20,000 units, with a year-on-year increase of 567%, and it plans to accelerate the pace of going overseas in 2024, with the market covering more than 60 countries, and the number of overseas channels will exceed 500.
