It is reported that due to the impact of certification violations and reduced demand for pure electric vehicles, the sales of both the Toyota Group (2.63 million, ranked first) and the Volkswagen Group (2.24 million, second) have declined.

BYD's global new car sales in the second quarter of 2024 were 980,000, with a year-on-year increase of 40%, and its overseas sales reached 105,000, with a sales increase of about 3 times. The latest ranking is seventh, surpassing Honda (920,000, eighth) for the first time.

BYD's sales from April to June 2023 were 700,000, ranking only 10th in the world, but within one year, it has surpassed Honda, Nissan and Suzuki, which ranked higher, and is also approaching one of the three major US automakers, Ford (1.14 million), and the possibility of further breaking the industry ranking is very high.
