Dragon Core Zhongke releases 7A2000 chip and Tongxin announces UOS system with improved GPU performance

Thank you for the clue provided by TapTechNews user Rookie No. on May 12. Longxin Zhongke launched the 7A2000 chip in July 2022, which integrates the first-generation GPU independently developed by Longxin, with LG100 as the GPU code name. The GPU performance is close to AMD R5-230. On May 6, 2024, Tongxin released the 1070 version of the UOS system, which integrates the latest driver for the 7A2000 integrated display. Media Guee found that with the latest driver, the display performance of the 7A2000 continues to improve. The performance it shows now is more than twice that at launch, and even slightly exceeds the performance level of AMD R5-230. In addition, after updating the driver, now the 7A2000 only feels a slight drop in frames when playing 4K resolution videos (previously there was a frame drop issue when playing 1080P videos). Referring to TapTechNews' previous reports, the GPU core frequency of the 7A2000 bridge chip reaches 400-500MHz, based on the OpenGL2.1 and OpenGLES2.0 specifications, integrated with DDR4 memory controller, memory frequency reaching 2000Mhz-2400Mhz, and supporting up to 16GB; support dual display, typical resolution 1920x1080@60Hz, maximum support 2560x1440@30Hz, glmark2 performance exceeds 300fps, glxgears performance exceeds 1800fps. In addition, the GPU module in the bridge chip is paired with independent memory, forming a discrete graphics solution. In the past two years, the software and hardware design level of Longxin has visibly improved, and related updates indicate that the current domestic GPU driver development capability has gradually entered a mature stage.
