Montage Technology Launches 6th Generation Jintai CPU

On June 11, TapTechNews reported that Montage Technology yesterday announced the launch of the sixth-generation Jintai Efficient Core CPU (abbr.C6E).

This processor is based on the recently released Intel Xeon 6 Efficient Core processor. It is consistent with Xeon 6 in terms of function, performance and reliability. At the same time, it also has a security pre-detection function. It is an x86 architecture server processor for the local market.

The C6E processor series supports up to 144 cores per single CPU, and the maximum L3 cache capacity reaches 108 MB; for the memory part, it supports 8 channels of DDR5-6400.

As for IO, C6E supports PCIe5.0 and CXL2.0 extensions, and supports up to 88 PCIe channels; this processor has 4 sets of UPI buses for interconnection between CPUs, supports single/dual-channel design, and the maximum UPI speed reaches 24 GT/s.

Montage Technology claims that compared with the fifth-generation Jintai CPU, the C6E built based on the efficient core has increased the rack density by 2.1 times and the performance per watt by 1.5 times in the field of cloud computing.

TapTechNews has learned that Montage Technology has joined open source communities such as OpenEuler, Anolis, and OpenCloud in recent years, and has also successfully obtained product compatibility mutual certifications from many domestic OS, cloud infrastructure, database, and hardware manufacturers.
