The new car's interior has also received some technological upgrades, including a 12.6-inch curved display full LCD instrument cluster, which can now display information from CarPlay. Porsche said it has more deeply integrated CarPlay into the vehicle.

However, Porsche did not use the next-generation wireless CarPlay system released by Apple in 2022, although both Porsche and Aston Martin had said they would be the first to carry this system. Porsche spokesman Frank Weissman told The Verge website, The system of this new car is similar to the system introduced on our latest Cayenne, Panamera and electric Macan models.

On these models, CarPlay can display information in the digital instrument cluster, but not at the level of controlling core functions (such as the odometer or air conditioning). Weissman also confirmed that the car will offer Android Auto connection functionality.

TapTechNews noted that as early as the WWDC conference in 2022, Apple announced plans to redefine the CarPlay experience. The next-generation CarPlay will allow the Apple user interface to take over the entire infotainment system, even including the core instrument panel. Users can directly view information such as vehicle speed, fuel quantity, and temperature on the instrument panel and can control functions such as the radio or adjust the air conditioning through CarPlay.

At that time, Apple said this feature would be first applied to new models by the end of 2023, and Porsche and Aston Martin were listed as the first adopters. However, there has been little progress since then. Currently, no car has a complete next-generation CarPlay experience.
