TapTechNews note: The word 'offload' here has the meaning of 'unload, take off'. Microsoft put forward a similar concept as early as 2019, and its basic purpose is to let the audio processor of the hardware handle the audio to reduce the usage rate of the CPU.

Currently, Chrome and Edge browsers based on Chromium are handled by the CPU for the audio process, and after the launch of this offload function, the audio processor will be used to handle audio requests, thereby improving the battery life performance of Chrome and Edge browsers.
