TapTechNews May 14th news, technology media videocardz recently published a blog post, exposing Dell's product roadmap, indicating that Dell plans to launch the XPS 16 laptop with AMD processors in 2027.
Dell has not released any XPS desktops or laptops with AMD processors in the past 15 years since the XPS 625 desktop with AMD Phenom II processors was launched in 2009.
According to the roadmap, Dell will release the XPS 16 Performance product in 2027, which will offer AMD chips in addition to Intel and Qualcomm. This is the only laptop with AMD processors in the entire roadmap, and it may even be delayed until 2028. If Dell really releases this laptop in 2027, the time interval will be 18 years.
The roadmap reveals the planned timeline for subsequent mobile processors from Intel, with the following schedule attached by TapTechNews:
Lunar Lake-MX: August/September 2024
Arrow Lake-H: February/March 2025
Panther Lake-H: February/March 2026
Nova Lake: Q1 2027
