Samsung Developing Galaxy AI for Chinese Market to Boost Share

TapTechNews July 13th news, Roh Tae-moon (TMRoh), the head of Samsung's Mobile Experience business, gave an interview to CNBC after the Galaxy Unpacked event, saying that they are developing Galaxy AI functions suitable for the Chinese market to rejuvenate Samsung's market share and influence in the domestic market.

Samsung was once the largest mobile phone manufacturer in China, with a market share of about 20% in 2013, but currently its market share in the domestic market is less than 1%.

Samsung has been trying to make a comeback in the Chinese market for the past few years, but with little success. Samsung hopes to attract more Chinese consumer groups with the trend of Galaxy AI.

TapTechNews Roh Tae-moon said in the interview:

We are specifically developing Galaxy AI functions for the Chinese market.

I believe that by striving to create mobile artificial intelligence suitable for China and mobile artificial intelligence that can meet the needs of Chinese consumers, and by promoting this technology, it will contribute to the recovery of the Chinese market.

Samsung also promised at the meeting to strive to promote more devices to be compatible with Galaxy AI, and the goal is to have more than 200 million devices running Galaxy AI by the end of this year.
