Samsung to Add AstroPortrait Feature to Galaxy S24 and S23 Series via OneUI 6.1.1 Update

TapTechNews July 16th news, the moderator of the Samsung community posted a post yesterday, stating that through the OneUI6.1.1 ExpertRAW application update, the AstroPortrait camera function will be added to the Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy S23 series.

Samsung first introduced the AstroPortrait mode on the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 phones, enhancing the effect of night sky photos through long exposures.

The AstroPortrait mode mainly combines astrophotography and portrait mode, making the portrait tasks under the starry sky background more charming. This mode will take two photos, one for the night scene and the other for the portrait, and finally stitch them together. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 phones may not be able to use AstroPortrait although they are hardware-compatible with this photography mode.
