Runway said that compared to its previous flagship video model Gen-2, this model has made significant improvements in generation speed and fidelity, and provides fine-grained control over the structure, style and motion of the generated videos. Gen-3 will be provided to Runway subscribers in the coming days, including enterprise customers and creators in the Runway Creative Partners program.

Runway co-founder Anastasis Germanidis said that the video generation time of Gen-3 is significantly faster than that of Gen-2. It takes 45 seconds to generate a 5-second clip, and it takes 90 seconds to generate a 10-second clip.
