BYD Unveils SHARK New Energy Pickup Truck in Mexico

On May 14th, TapTechNews reported that the BYD SHARK new energy pickup truck will be launched in Mexico at 0:30 Beijing time on May 15th. The detailed configuration of the pickup truck has been released on the official website of BYD Mexico.

The BYD SHARK is available in three colors: white (Pallas White), black (Marmara Black), and gray-blue (Atlantis Gray).

The dimensions of the pickup truck are as follows: length 5457mm, width 1971mm, height 1925mm, wheelbase 3260mm. The front electric motor has a maximum power of 170kW and a maximum torque of 310N·m; the rear electric motor has a maximum power of 150kW and a maximum torque of 340N·m.

The BYD SHARK accelerates 0-100km/h in 5.7 seconds, with a top speed of 160km/h, a battery capacity of 29.58kWh, a pure electric NEDC range of 100km, a hybrid NEDC range of 840km, and a fuel consumption of 7.5L/100km.

The BYD SHARK is equipped with a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel, a 12.8-inch central control screen, and a 12-inch HUD head-up display. It is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and comes with a 360° panoramic camera and a 180° chassis camera, providing a 540° ultra-wide transparent panoramic image.

The BYD SHARK features the DMO (Dual Mode Off-Road) super hybrid off-road platform, with independent suspension systems in the front and rear, a maximum towing capacity of 2500kg, a cargo volume of 1450L, and the ability to drive on sand, mud, and snow.
