However, it is not yet clear whether the form of the event will be a Showcase or a State of Play, and the source believes it may be the relatively smaller State of Play.

Referring to TapTechNews' previous report, another source JeffGrubb disclosed that Sony plans to officially announce the PS5 Pro game console in the recently held event. In addition, there have been many indications of the relevant event recently. There are rumors that Sony will also announce a new game of 'Astro Bot' in the event, which also implies that Sony is likely to launch the PS5 Pro game console at that time.

Referring to TapTechNews' previous report, the code name for Sony's PS5 Pro game console is 'Trinity', which focuses on improving the ray tracing technology. The maximum operating frequency of the GPU is 2.35 GHz, and it is equipped with 16 GB GDDR6 RAM. The digital version (without optical drive) is expected to cost as low as $500 (TapTechNews note: currently about 3620 yuan RMB), and the specific specifications are as follows:

CPU: Eight-core Zen2 processor, supporting 3.85 GHz high-frequency mode, but the GPU performance will be reduced by about 1% in this mode;

GPU: The rendering speed is increased by 45%, and the ray tracing performance is increased to 3 times;

RAM: 16 GB, the memory bandwidth is increased by 28% to 576 GB/s, and the available game memory is increased by 1.2 GB;

Super-resolution and AI acceleration: Supports PSSR super-resolution technology and has 300 T of 8-bit AI computing power.
