Lucid CEO comments on Tesla

On May 29, according to TapTechNews, Peter Rawlinson, the CEO of Lucid, recently expressed his views on Tesla. He said that Tesla was a company focused on innovation during the development of the Model S, but now it seems to have lost its way.

TapTechNews noted that Rawlinson's remarks were made in an interview on the BBC program 'WakeUpToMoney'. He worked at Tesla from 2009 to 2012 and participated in the research and development of the Model S sedan.

However, Rawlinson believes that today's Tesla seems to have lost this focus and is even losing its way. He said that this provides an excellent opportunity for Lucid to promote the development of the electric vehicle industry forward.

However, if Lucid wants to become a trendsetter in the electric vehicle revolution, it also needs to overcome many challenges. According to EVnews citing informed sources, Lucid is planning to lay off about 6% of its staff for restructuring and cost reduction. This layoff involves multiple departments such as vehicle engineering, powertrain, manufacturing, and human resources.
