BYD M6 Uncamouflaged Spy Photos Revealed, Expected to Expand Overseas Market

TapTechNews May 26th news, recently, the blogger @SugarDesign shared a set of spy photos of the uncamouflaged real car of BYD M6. Judging from the overall appearance, this new car is more like a rebranded and modified version of Song MAX.

The front of the car adopts the family design concept of the Dynasty Network, equipped with silver chrome trim and the English logo BYD. The rear of the car is equipped with segmented taillights, and the shape is consistent with the current Song MAX DM-i. In addition, the EV logo at the rear of the car confirms that it uses pure electric power.

Zooming in on the photo, it can be seen that this new car adopts a right-hand drive layout and is expected to be exported to overseas markets and sold overseas as BYD M6.

For reference, the current Song MAX DM-i has a length, width and height of 4710/1810/1690 millimeters (about 185.4/71.3/66.5 inches) respectively, and the wheelbase is 2785 millimeters (about 109.6 inches). The car is equipped with the Xiaoyun - plug-in hybrid dedicated 1.5L high-efficiency engine, equipped with DM-i super hybrid dedicated power-type blade battery and permanent magnet synchronous motor. The maximum power (kW/rpm) of the engine is 81/6000, the maximum torque (N·m/rpm) of the engine is 135/4500, the maximum power of the motor is 145 kw, and the maximum torque of the motor is 325 N·m, with a comprehensive range of 1090 kilometers (about 677 miles).

At present, the passenger cars that BYD has launched in the overseas market include Yuan PLUS (ATTO3), Han, Tang, Song PLUS DM-i, Seal, Dolphin and other models. The listing of BYD M6 will further improve the company's overseas layout.
