This cooperation covers areas such as AI, HPC, and smart cars. Faraday Technology will work together with Intel Foundry to provide joint customers with a full-process SoC customization service from design, production, verification, packaging, to testing, accelerating the process of turning concepts into chips.

Earlier this year, Faraday Technology announced that it would build a 64-core SoC chip based on Arm Neoverse CSS server processor design scheme, and this chip is based on Intel's Intel 18A process, which is expected to be launched in the first half of next year.

Lin Shiqin, the chief operating officer of Faraday Technology (TapTechNews note: i.e. CEO), said:

We are very pleased to become a partner of Intel Foundry Services Design.

The leading RibbonFET process in Intel Foundry and the innovative multi-chip 2.5D/3D-IC packaging solution are perfectly matched with our SoC integration capabilities and resource commitments.

This cooperation can expand our service scope and meet the needs of customers for advanced applications.
