The World Meteorological Organization said that from June 2023 to June 2024, the global monthly average temperature has continuously set new highest records for 13 months.

The report said that although July also experienced the hottest three days, the ERA5 average surface temperature in July this year was 16.91 °C, which was 0.68 °C higher than the average of July from 1991 to 2020, and only 0.04 °C lower than the highest value set in July 2023, and the temperature record was not refreshed for the 14th consecutive month.
