Microsoft Flight Simulator Gets City Update 8 and Announces 2024 Release

TapTechNews on June 21st, Microsoft today brought City Update 8 for Microsoft Flight Simulator, mainly adding high-precision terrain of the Mojave Desert in southern Nevada and Sin City Las Vegas. Players can find the relevant update in the in-game marketplace on PC and Xbox Series X|S platforms. However, it requires the game version to be above 1.37.19.0 to install.

It is introduced that Microsoft has merged the latest high-resolution aerial images, digital elevation model data and TIN (Triangular Irregular Network) surface textures to render the relevant scenic spots. Players can appreciate various iconic hotels and the world's largest 360-degree surround screen MSGSphere after the update, but the surround screen does not display the Microsoft Xbox logo.

TapTechNews noticed that Microsoft also officially announced that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be released on November 19th. This work mainly adds various tasks based on Microsoft Flight Simulator in 2020, and will also be available on Xbox Series X|S and PC platforms at that time, and will be included in the XGP subscription at the first launch.
